Education Voters of PA has been working tirelessly to ensure Pennsylvania children and families have education funding that is fair and equitable. As EVPA notes in a recent blogpost, a partial budget passed in December is a far cry from what is needed to move the state forward: "the public isn’t happy about another budget that fails to fairly and adequately fund schools." Spending in Nation’s Schools Falls Yet Again |

The nation’s per-pupil spending on K-12 public schools dropped in 2013 for the third year in a row, reversing more than a decade of funding increases. State governments in at least 31 states are contributing less to public education than they did in 2008, before the recession. Read more > |
